Agoo AI
What Agoo AI does, how it protects your data, and how AI credits work on each plan.
Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.
Agoo AI takes on the slow, fiddly parts of running a front door: answering questions about your data in plain language, reading the number on IDs the kiosk can't read itself, reading parcel labels to suggest who a parcel is for, and turning years of paper visitor books into searchable records. It's built on Anthropic's Claude models.
AI is optional. Agoo works fully without it, and your organisation decides whether to switch it on.
What works today
Reading parcel labels works today: turn it on in Console → Deliveries → Settings, and each label read uses 1 AI credit. The rest of Agoo AI is planned: its settings page and the other features below aren't in the Console yet, and these pages describe how they will work. Without AI, the kiosk already reads a Ghana Card's or passport's number on the device (keeping no picture of a Ghana Card), and every device reads parcel labels itself.
What it does
| Feature | What it's for | Plans |
|---|---|---|
| Ask Agoo | Ask a question about visits, bookings or attendance and get an answer with a chart | All plans |
| ID and document scan | Read the number on IDs the kiosk can't read itself, never a Ghana Card | Pro, Enterprise |
| Reading parcel labels | Read a parcel's label and suggest who it's for, with the courier and tracking number | All plans, 1 AI credit a label |
| Digitise paper logbooks | Photograph old visitor books and import them as visits | All plans |
| Draft a form | Describe the form you need and get a draft in the form builder to edit | All plans |
| Weekly summaries | A short written summary of the week for admins, by WhatsApp or email | All plans |
Features listed for all plans use AI credits, so how much you can do depends on your plan's allowance and any packs you buy.
Switch it on
Open Console → Settings → Agoo AI
You need to be an Owner or Admin.
Read what changes
The page explains which data each feature sends to the AI provider and why. AI features stay off until you agree.
Choose features
Turn on the features you want. You can switch any of them off later; turning AI off stops all AI processing for your organisation.
How it protects your data
- Opt-in per organisation. Nothing is sent to an AI model until an admin turns AI on.
- Permission-aware. Agoo AI answers only from data the person asking is allowed to see, by role and by site. A Tema Branch receptionist can't learn anything about Ridge HQ by asking.
- Personal data redacted. Phone numbers, ID numbers and other personal details are removed from what's sent to the model wherever the task doesn't need them.
- Not used for training. Your data is never used to train AI models.
- It shows its working. Every answer shows the records and filters it used, so you can check it.
- No automatic decisions about people. AI never denies entry, adds anyone to the watchlist or approves a visit. A person always decides.
- Recorded. Questions, answers and AI actions are kept in the audit trail.
Anthropic is listed as a sub-processor for AI features, when enabled. See Data protection.
Works without AI, and offline
Kiosks never depend on AI. Check-in, clock-in, ID capture on the device, logging parcels and roll call all work with AI switched off and with no network. When AI isn't available, the kiosk falls back to the same steps it uses without AI, such as typing an ID number.
AI credits
Each AI task uses credits. Every plan includes a monthly allowance:
| Plan | AI credits a month |
|---|---|
| Free | 20 |
| Starter | 100 |
| Growth | 500 |
| Pro | 2,000 |
| Enterprise | 10,000 |
Monthly allowances reset each month. If you need more, buy an AI pack from your wallet: 250 credits for GH₵29, 1,000 for GH₵119, 5,000 for GH₵499 or 20,000 for GH₵1,690 (prices exclude VAT). Packs can be used for 12 months from purchase, have no cash value and aren't refundable except as the terms of service set out. Console → Settings → Billing shows the credits used this month against your allowance, and the credits left in packs. See Wallet and credits.
