Zoom
Agoo's Zoom app makes a Zoom meeting for each video booking, in the host's own Zoom account. How to add it, use it and remove it, and what it can see.
Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.
Agoo's Zoom app lets Agoo make a new Zoom meeting for each video booking, in the host's own Zoom account, and keep it in step with the booking. Guests get the link in their confirmation, every reminder and on their booking's page. It's part of connected calendars and meeting links, on Agoo's Starter, Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans.
Who it's for: people who take bookings in Agoo (hosts) and use Zoom for video calls, and the Owners and Admins who set their organisation's booking types. Guests need nothing: they join on Zoom as usual.
Before you start
- An Agoo account in an organisation on Starter or above, whose Owners or Admins allow Zoom in Console → Settings → Calendars (Calendar settings).
- A Zoom account of your own, free or paid. Zoom has no calendar, so the Zoom app adds no busy times: connect Google or Microsoft as well for that.
- If your Zoom account belongs to a company that approves apps first, your Zoom account admin allows Agoo in the account's app settings.
Add the app
You add the app from inside Agoo.
Open Account → Calendars in Agoo
Sign in to the Agoo Console, open Account → Calendars (or Your calendars in the menu under your name) and, under Connect a calendar, choose Zoom.
Read what Agoo will see and keep
A sheet explains what Agoo does in your Zoom account: it makes the Zoom meetings for your video bookings and moves or removes them when a booking changes; recording stays off; nothing else in your account is read. Select Continue to Zoom.
Allow access in Zoom
Sign in to Zoom if asked, check the access Agoo asks for (below) and select Allow.
Back in Agoo
You return to Account → Calendars with "Zoom connected". The card shows Connected, your Zoom account's email and "Makes Zoom links for your video bookings". It counts as one of your six connected accounts.
Use it
An Owner, an Admin or the booking type's host sets a booking type's How the video meeting is made to Zoom (Meet, Teams and Zoom links). Then, for each video booking of that type:
| When | Agoo, in the host's Zoom account |
|---|---|
| The booking is confirmed | Makes a scheduled meeting at the booking's time and length, with the waiting room on, joining before the host off and recording off |
| The booking moves to another time | Changes the meeting's time |
| The booking is cancelled or declined | Deletes the meeting |
The meeting's topic is the kind of booking with the guest's name, or with the organisation's name when the organisation keeps calendar events to times only. Its description links back to the booking in Agoo. The guest receives the join link from Agoo by SMS, WhatsApp or email; Zoom sends them nothing.
Agoo never turns recording on, never reads recordings and never adds or reads participants. A host who hasn't connected Zoom gets their own meeting link on the booking instead.
If something goes wrong
- The booking says "We couldn't make the Zoom link". The host is emailed. They fix the cause (usually Reconnect on the Zoom card in Account → Calendars), then choose Make a new link on the booking, or Add your own link. The guest never sees an error: their messages say the link will follow.
- The Zoom card says Reconnect needed. Zoom stopped accepting Agoo's access, for example after a change to the Zoom account or its app settings. Select Reconnect. Until then, video bookings use the host's own link.
- A meeting was deleted in Zoom. Zoom tells Agoo within moments, and the upcoming booking shows that its link needs replacing ("We couldn't make the Zoom link"). The host chooses Make a new link for a new Zoom meeting, Add your own link, or moves the booking, which makes a new meeting. Cancel or move bookings in Agoo rather than deleting their meetings in Zoom.
- Zoom is paused for a few minutes. Agoo has paused Zoom links while it fixes a problem; the status page says more. Nothing connected is lost.
What the app can see
| Zoom permission | Why Agoo needs it |
|---|---|
meeting:write:meeting | To make a meeting for a confirmed video booking |
meeting:update:meeting | To move the meeting when the booking moves |
meeting:read:meeting | To read back the meeting's join link, and find one it already made |
meeting:delete:meeting | To delete the meeting when the booking is cancelled or declined |
user:read:user | To show which Zoom account is connected (its name and email) |
Agoo keeps the account's name and email address, and the ID and join link of each meeting it made, with its booking. The tokens Zoom gives Agoo are encrypted and never shown to anyone, the host's Owners and Admins included. Nothing else from your Zoom account is read or kept: no other meetings, chats, contacts or recordings. The privacy notice has the details.
Remove the app
Either way works:
- In Agoo: Account → Calendars → your Zoom account → Disconnect. Keep Remove the Zoom meetings Agoo made (recommended) ticked to delete the upcoming meetings Agoo made (past ones stay as your history), and confirm with Disconnect. Agoo asks Zoom to withdraw its access.
- In Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find Agoo and select Remove.
What happens to your data when the app is removed:
- Agoo deletes the Zoom tokens at once and stops making, changing or deleting meetings in your account.
- Meetings Agoo already made stay in Zoom unless you removed them from Agoo with the box ticked. Delete any you no longer want in Zoom.
- The record of which meetings Agoo made for which bookings stays with those bookings in Agoo, under the organisation's own retention settings. The connection's name and email go after 30 days.
- Upcoming video bookings that used Zoom need a new link: their hosts choose Change meeting link on the booking, or Agoo uses each host's own meeting link for new bookings.
To use Zoom links again, add the app again from Account → Calendars.

Microsoft
Agoo's Microsoft app signs people in with Microsoft and connects Outlook and Microsoft 365 calendars for busy times, bookings and Teams links. What it asks for, how your IT team approves it, and how to remove it.
Single sign-on and SCIM
Let staff sign in to Agoo with Google, Microsoft or your SAML identity provider, and create and deactivate their accounts automatically with SCIM.
